Opener and Off-Season

On November 1st, the New York Knicks will open the 2012 season against the newly dubbed Brooklyn Nets.  While many may believe that the new team in town is the early favorite, the pride of Manhattan bring a lot of new pieces to the table that may catch some by surprise.

New acquisitions Marcus Camby and Jason Kidd will look to not only provide veteran leadership and knowledge of the game, but also production on the court.  Camby is still very active on defense and the glass; which is going to be very valuable when Chandler goes to the bench.  Kidd led the Dallas Mavericks to an NBA Championship just two years ago, and still showed the ability to get out on the break last year.  Perenially near the top of the league in assists, Kidd will be a great addition to the offense by getting Melo and Stoudemire open looks all season.
